Redesigning the Virtual Assistant Experience for UK Entrepreneurs

00

problem

The VA industry is crowded and often feels transactional. ReliAssist needed a digital presence that communicated speed, professionalism, and trust while converting first-time visitors into paying clients within minutes. Many service-based websites struggle with presenting complex services in a simple and easy-to-understand format. The challenge was to design a website that communicates professionalism, trust, speed, and simplicity while helping users quickly understand ReliAssist’s services and onboarding process.

solution

My role on the project was as a UI/UX designer within the design team. I worked on shaping the user experience direction, defining the interface structure, maintaining visual consistency, and contributing to the overall usability of the platform. Working alongside other designers and stakeholders, the focus was to create a clean, modern, and conversion-focused experience that reflects the reliability of the brand.

The homepage was designed as the entry point for clarity. It immediately communicates what ReliAssist offers through concise messaging, strong hierarchy, and clear calls to action, ensuring users understand the value within seconds of landing.

Each service section was structured for scanability, breaking down offerings into simple, digestible blocks that make it easier for users to compare and understand what’s available. The pricing experience followed the same principle, using structured cards and clear feature breakdowns to support quick decision-making without confusion.

Throughout the design, usability remained a constant priority. Every layout decision considered readability, responsiveness, and cognitive load, ensuring the interface works seamlessly across devices while staying visually calm and intuitive.

The visual system was built around modern typography, consistent spacing, rounded UI elements, and a restrained color approach. The aim was to reflect professionalism while still feeling approachable and human, aligning with the nature of a service-based platform.

Collaboration played a major role in shaping the final product. Working closely with developers and stakeholders ensured that design decisions were practical, aligned with business goals, and iterated based on feedback from different perspectives.

One of the main challenges was finding the balance between providing enough detail about services while keeping the interface simple and digestible. This required constant refinement of layout density and content prioritization to avoid overwhelming users.

The final outcome was a cleaner, more structured website experience that improved how ReliAssist presents its services and supports user engagement. It now communicates value more clearly and creates a smoother path for users to understand and take action.

Looking back, this project reinforced how much clarity and structure influence trust in service-based products. It also strengthened the importance of designing with intention—where every section exists to guide, not just to display.
